Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Overview

Welcome to 2026, Leo. You’re a very generous sign, as your lovers can attest. However, your sex drive may be lower than usual early in the year, as Mars is retrograde. Then, in the spring, lover Venus also goes retrograde. This results in a slowdown in love and possible delay regarding financial news. It’s also not the best time to make major changes to your appearance. However, when Venus shifts into your sign and is direct in the fall, not only does love abound, but you will likely receive welcome professional news. Celebrate by going all the way on a makeover, should you desire.

Beware of fights with friends during the Scorpio full moon. When the sun is in your sign, it’s more important than ever to celebrate with friends. Social Gemini season sees you wanting to prioritize friends over romance. Just know that several eclipses that take place of the course of the year could bring sudden change and require lots of self-care. When the sun moves into Sagittarius, your focus on romantic love is at an all-time high. Then, the next season, when the sun is in Capricorn, your star assignment is also to rest.

Love & Relationships

As the majestic lion of the zodiac, you often feel your best when getting lots of attention from those you love. You’re also very generous, which makes your lovers quite lucky. You know how to get the job done, Leo. However, fear not if your libido is lower than usual when the year begins. Mars, the warrior planet that rules sexual energy, is retrograde when the year begins through Sunday, February 23. If you find your libido shifting during these dates, just make sure to be gentle with yourself and honor it. Even with Mars retrograde, some Leos may find themselves meeting a partner around the Aquarius new moon.

Perhaps one of the sexiest nights of the year arrives during the Sagittarius full moon on Wednesday, June 11. With your 5th House illuminated and both Mars and Venus direct, it’s a night for sexual experimentation and relaxing with a sex toy.

And once Venus moves into your sign on Monday, August 25, where it will stay until Friday, September 29, love abounds. This time of year is excellent for weddings or first dates. Then, shortly after, when the sun moves into Sagittarius, which lasts from Friday, November 21 to Sunday, December 21, your focus on relationships is at an all-time high. Expect relationships to evolve during the winter holidays.

Friendships

While it’s easy to let romantic relationships occupy most of your mental space, another task of yours during 2025 is to give your friendships the attention they deserve. Friendships act as the foundation upon which all other relationships are built. While the stars want you to prioritize friendships all year, you will find your social calendar especially booked up while the sun is in Gemini, from Tuesday, May 20 to Friday, June 20. If you’re romantically partnered, you might want to give them a heads-up that you’ll be busy with friends this time of year.

Beware the full moon

Watch out for fights with friends during the intense Scorpio full moon on Monday, May 12. Tempers will be at an all-time high, and drama may occur. However, this lunation could also see some Leos making out with friends. If that happens, make sure to communicate so that you elevate a friendship into romance rather than ruin it. Mark down Monday, May 26, in your calendar, as there is a new moon, the moon phase associated with beginnings, in your friendship-oriented 11th House that sees Leos making new best friends.

You’ll also want to note the dates of messenger Mercury’s retrograde. They are Friday, July 18 to Monday, August 11, and Sunday, November 9 to Friday, November 29. While not cause for alarm, these retrogrades can lead to misunderstandings with friends. However, if you’re aware of them, you can plan properly and communicate with extra care while Mercury is retrograde.

Leos need attention. When the sun is in your sign, from Tuesday, July 22 to Friday, August 22, make sure that you connect with friends to celebrate yourself. It’s more than alright to text everyone to remind them that your birthday is coming up. And, while your own season is likely the best for friendships, when the sun is in Scorpio, from Wednesday, October 22 to Friday, November 21, you will likely see yourself growing closer with friends as acquaintances start to feel like family.

Cancer Zodiac Sign: June 21-July 22

Cancerians are symbolized by the crab, a creature with a hard shell and soft underbelly. This reflects the duality of Cancer’s personality: they are tough and protective on the outside but nurturing and emotional on the inside. Learn more about Cancer’s personality and compatibility.

Cancer Signs

The symbol of the Cancer Zodiac Sign is usually the crab and its claws. Sometimes, you may see the crab sign symbol depicted as a sideways “69” to represent crab claws or a woman’s breast.

Cancer, the water sign symbolized by the crab, is a creature of both strength and sensitivity. Ruled by the emotional Moon, Cancers wear their hearts on their sleeves.  They possess a deep well of intuition, allowing them to understand others’ feelings and their own.  Like the crab’s hard shell, Cancers project a protective exterior.  However, within lies a nurturing and caring soul. This emotional depth can lead to mood swings.  However, their compassion and strong bonds with loved ones make them fiercely loyal friends and family members.

Cancer Personality

You are the Patriarchs and Matriarchs of the Zodiac. Family means everything to you. You watch over your brood with determination and zeal. You can be counted upon to be at every graduation, wedding, surprise party, or barbecue that has anything to do with your relatives. They are definitely your tribe, and you are very generous with all of them.

Many of you have very strong careers, as you know that this is the best way to provide for your family. Others love being stay-at-home parents because who could care more about your children than you? You want to see them succeed and will do everything in your power to make that happen.

Home and family are so important to you that you are willing to submerge your own wants and desires for the good of your immediate group. Often quite ambitious, you seek to get ahead in order to provide the best for your loved ones.

A natural chef

Cooking comes naturally to you as you understand that nourishment is the key to good health. Chefs are among your ranks, as are nurses and doctors who take care of the physically disabled or ill. You are sensitive to the extreme and can always tell when something is wrong with one of your charges. Walking into a room full of depressed people instantly depresses you.

You like soft tones and low lights and prefer to allude to the things that you find difficult. You may have trouble being direct like your totem, the crab who sidesteps. This can lead to misunderstandings, so you need to find a way to be clear. Writing things may be a solution.

Interestingly, on July 4, 1776, there was not just one planet in Cancer, but four. Since we celebrate our birthday as a nation on this date, is it any wonder that we have trouble dealing with our issues?

As a partner or a parent, you are among the best. All those around you never have to wonder if you care because you show it repeatedly.

Cancer Personality Traits

  • Strengths: Nurturing and Caring, Highly Intuitive, Tenacious and Determined, Loyal and Protective, Creative and Imaginative
  • Weaknesses: Overly Sensitive, Prone to Mood Swings, Can be Clingy or Possessive, Dislikes Change or Discomfort, Takes Criticism Hard
  • Likes: Spending time with loved ones, Creating a warm and inviting home, Helping others, Exploring their creativity, Feeling secure and loved
  • Dislikes: Conflict or arguments, Feeling insecure or rejected, Cold or impersonal environments, Change or disruption to routine, Deception or dishonesty

Cancer Astronomy

The Crab is a faint constellation best seen during summer nights in the Northern Hemisphere. It’s one of the zodiac constellations, meaning the sun passes through its path during the year. Despite its lack of bright stars, Cancer has a long history. Ancient Greeks mapped their stars centuries ago.

Spotting Cancer can be a challenge. Look between the constellations Gemini and Leo. You’ll need a dark sky for the best view.  However, Cancer holds a hidden gem: the Beehive Cluster (also called M44). This cluster of hundreds of stars is visible to the naked eye under clear skies, earning it the nickname “Beehive” for its resemblance to a buzzing hive.

Cancer Compatibility

Most Compatible Signs

Taurus knows how to make you their one and only, and the back rubs are to die for. Pisces understands your sensitive nature and is always willing to listen to the tales of your day.

Compatible Signs

Scorpio can read your moods and will delve into the levels of emotions with you. Virgo will keep things organized and make sure that the rent gets paid.

Famous Cancers

Over the course of history, there have been a number of historical figures, politicians, musicians, and celebrities who were Cancers. These include:

  • Diana Spencer (Princess Diana)
  • Julius Caesar
  • Elon Musk
  • Nelson Mandela
  • Micheal Phelps
  • George W. Bush

Chinese New Year 2026 started on Tuesday with the Year of the Horse

The Year of the Snake has ended, and this morning’s new moon gave rise to the Year of the Fire Horse.  So begins the Lunar New Year celebrations and 15 days of festivities. It is also known as the Chinese New Year, although it is also celebrated by many other Asian cultures.  Some of those are South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.

U.S. cities with large Asian populations have multiple events planned to welcome the new year.  Cities like New York and Los Angeles sponsor annual parades featuring the iconic lion dance troupes.

The Lunar New Year in 2026, also known as the Chinese New Year, started with the new moon on Tuesday, Feb. 17, and lasts until the Lantern Festival on March 3, the date of the next full moon.

Lunar New Year is 354 long

While the Western Gregorian calendar has a predetermined number of days in each year, the Lunar New Year is based on the moon’s 12 phases.  Basically, each phase spans approximately 29 days for each cycle.  A full calendar is about 354 days long.

The year 2026 will be the Year of the Horse, specifically the Fire Horse, symbolizing “energy, freedom, and forward momentum,” according to Asia Society Texas. The horse is also synonymous with strength, grace and determination.  Undoubtedly this zodiac sign serves as a powerful symbol of perseverance, freedom and momentum for the upcoming lunar cycle.

The horse is traditionally regarded as an emblem of confidence and forward motion, suggesting a period defined by significant opportunity and success. It is also one of 12 different animals that are part of the 12-year cycle of animals in the zodiac.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Are you emotional, or is it just Pisces season? Depending on when the sun enters the sign of the fish, Pisces season’s dates typically span from Feb. 18 to March 19.

As the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces tends to pick up traits from other signs, all of which blend together to create a unique and irresistible personality. They can be brave like Aries and protective like Cancer, depending on their moods.

Pisces are known to wear their hearts on their sleeves when it comes to love and relationships. Think of this as a privilege, though: Pisces don’t open themselves up to just anyone. They’re selective with their inner circle and unswayable when it comes to their gut impressions. Either they trust someone… or they don’t.

Like other water signs, Pisces are deep feelers. They often process life through what rises to the surface from their ever-active subconscious. But they’re just as likely to retreat from the real world for a trip into their imaginations. Pisces should be aware of the narratives that they’re weaving. The stories they tell themselves may not always be completely accurate.

A Pisces should learn to hone their natural intuitions. They can pay attention to their inner sense of knowing. Soon, they will be able to rely on their gut as a compass, rather than others’ opinions. They know what is best for them.

Pisces personality traits

  • Compassionate
  • Romantic
  • Imaginative
  • Adaptable
  • Creative
  • Dreamy
  • Tender
  • Spiritual
  • Intuitive
  • Indecisive
  • Intuitive
  • Manipulative
  • Gullible
  • Moody

Pisces are imaginative and creative lovers who blend fantasy with reality in the way they love. If you’re longing for passion, you can expect it from a Pisces. They know how they feel about people and rarely change their minds.

The Personality of a Pisces

Water sign Pisces (February 19 – March 20) is the last constellation of the zodiac. It’s symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions, representing the constant division of Pisces’ attention between fantasy and reality. As the final sign, Pisces has absorbed every lesson—the joys and the pains, the hopes and the fears—learned by all of the other signs. This makes these fish the most psychic, empathetic, and compassionate creatures of the astrological wheel. With such immense sensitivity, Pisces can easily become swallowed by emotions and must remember to stay grounded in the material realm (appropriately, Pisces rules the feet).

Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the celestial body that governs creativity and dreams, and these ethereal fish adore exploring their boundless imaginations. In its more nefarious form, however, Neptune also oversees illusion and escapism. Neptunian energy is like the energy of the ocean: magical, mysterious, and often scary. When the fog is thick on the water, the horizon is obstructed and there is no differentiation between the sea and the sky.

Those with this sun sign must be wary of mirages: These impressionable fish prefer wearing rose-colored glasses to addressing problems, which can earn Pisces a reputation for being flaky or delusional. This water sign should remember that problems can’t be solved by swimming away. Willful ignorance never makes conflict disappear: It only gives it the chance to grow.

A mutable sign, Pisces effortlessly adapts to their surroundings. These visionary fish have unparalleled access to the collective unconscious through their clairvoyance and make incredible artists and creatives. Kind and gentle, they’re invigorated by shared experiences of music and romance. Any relationship with mystical Pisces is guaranteed to involve deep spiritual exploration. Keep reading to find out more about Pisces’ personality traits, weaknesses, and who they’re most (and least) compatible with.

What are Pisces known for?

The last sign of the zodiac, watery Pisces are known for their dreamy nature, deep empathy, and artistic flair. This archetype is perfectly embodied by Pisces legends like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Drew Barrymore, Albert Einstein, Elizabeth Taylor, and Steve Jobs, who perfectly exemplify the range of Pisces’ imaginative and intuitive abilities. Pisces have an uncanny ability to tune into the emotions of others, often knowing what people need before they even say it, making them effortless trend-setters who are always ahead of the curve. Their interests often lie in the mystical and the artistic, where their vivid imaginations—and elusive childlike spirit—can truly run wild.

What are Pisces’ weaknesses?

Pisces feel everything—including emotions that don’t even belong to them. Energetic sponges, Pisces will metabolize others’ experiences, which can be incredibly overwhelming. Accordingly, Pisces’ deep empathy and sensitivity can sometimes lead to escapism, challenging anxiety, and erratic mood swings. Often, Pisces need to retreat into a fantasy world or engage in avoidant behaviors to manage the deluge of psychic stimuli and escape reality’s harshness. Grounding exercises, like learning how to set (and maintain!) healthy boundaries are extremely important for aquatic Pisces. Protecting their emotional energy and being discerning about who they trust are also extremely important practices for this gentle, ethereal sign. Every Pisces must learn to balance their compassionate nature with self-protection, ensuring they care for themselves before tending to others. After all, we can’t pour from an empty cup.

Who should Pisces avoid?

Pisces are ethereal mermaids who float through life on waves of emotion and intuition, often getting lost in their own fantastical worlds. Naturally, this mystical sign doesn’t always vibe well with the bold and brazen fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), who don’t necessarily have the patience to float down Pisces’ enchanted river. Fire signs, always trying to snap Pisces out of their reverie, often find Pisces’ ever-oscillating energy more perplexing than enchanting. Likewise, air signs—Gemini, Libra, Aquarius—can also be a challenging match for Pisces. These social butterflies thrive on interaction and intellectual banter, often skating over the deep emotional currents where Pisces soak. Their breezy approach to relationships and low tolerance for Pisces’ intense whirlpools can leave Pisces feeling misunderstood and undervalued, like a fish out of water.

Which signs are Pisces’ best matches?

Pisces thrive in relationships where they can swim freely in the depths of intimacy and soul-searching—always toeing the line between fantasy and reality. Ideal partners for Pisces are those who aren’t afraid to experience a wide range of emotions, which means fellow water signs—Cancer and Scorpio—make excellent companions. Cancer and Scorpio effortlessly flow with Pisces’ ethereal sensibilities, sharing a profound psychic language that feels divinely-guided. These connections are not just relationships; they’re spiritual journeys that transform and enrich both partners. Alternatively, the earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) can help Pisces find the shore. Their solid, grounded presence provides the stability and practical anchoring Pisces needs (and can’t generate independently). These earth signs can bring Pisces back from their dreamy escapades to the cozy comforts of home, offering a steady base where Pisces can truly unwind.

The Personality Traits of an Aquarius

As you can imagine, I encounter a lot of misconceptions as a professional astrologer — not just regarding my career as a stargazer, but also relating to the technical aspects of astrology. One of the most ubiquitous, albeit innocuous, errors is that Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) is a water sign. I could certainly understand the confusion here—especially with “aqua” as the prefix—but once you get to know this zodiac sign, it becomes strikingly clear that Aquarius is an air sign. As the eleventh and penultimate sign of the zodiac, Aquarius is actually the final air sign, which means it deals with air-related concepts (we’ll get more into that momentarily) from a macro-perspective. Of all the zodiac signs, Aquarius is undoubtedly the most innovative, progressive, rebellious, and humanitarian. But while Aquarius can often be found planning a revolution or proudly flaunting their funky fashion sensibility, they also have an often overlooked sensitive side that requires appreciation, support, and love.

Air energy is all about the mind. Intellectual, curious, and deeply social, the air signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) are passionate about interpersonal dynamics. As the last air sign in the zodiac, however, Aquarius takes these concepts to a whole other level. Aquarius is represented by the water bearer (hence the “aqua”), the mystical healer who bestows water, or life, upon the land. Represented by the Star card in tarot, Aquarius can be visualized as a larger-than-life, mythical being with one foot firmly planted on the soil (representing a sense of being grounded) and one positioned in the water. Aquarius is holding a vase, which pours new streams of inspiration to cultivate longevity, healing, and hope. Here, it’s important to remember that Aquarius is removed from this process—from this vantage, we can see that Aquarius is positioned as an independent entity separate from the life-giving hydration it offers the cracked soil. In this respect, Aquarius exposes its deep connection to community: Rooted in teamwork, collaboration, and the concept of the “greater good,” Aquarius is determined to make a powerful difference in the world.

Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet that governs innovation, technology, and surprising events. Uranus perfectly mirrors Aquarius’ distinctive attitude, complementing the nontraditional nature of these visionary air signs. Aquarians are big thinkers, but mustn’t forget their immediate surroundings. These water bearers can become so focused on implementing widespread reform that they neglect their family and friends, gaining a reputation for being distant in relationships. Aquarians should remember that progress always starts on a micro level and advocate empathy and compassion wherever possible. Keep reading to find out more about Aquarius’ personality traits, weaknesses, and who they’re most (and least) compatible with.

What are Aquarius known for?

As the humanitarian of the zodiac, this sign has a reputation for being eccentric, unique, and marching to the beat of their own drum—as well as being cold, aloof, and somewhat detached. Here’s the thing: Aquarius hates small talk. Aquarius is totally disinterested in petty gossip and, frankly, could care less about people-please niceties. This zodiac sign is committed to creating a large-scale impact from the ground up, which means these revolutionaries are all about macro change. Aquarius aspires to move the needle through radical social progress, so if they seem disinterested, it’s likely because the issue at hand isn’t community-focused. Every Aquarian is a rebel at heart: These air signs don’t mesh well with authority-figures, let alone any institution that represents tradition and long-standing convention. Free-spirited and eccentric, you can often spot this air sign through their offbeat fashion sensibilities, unusual hobbies, and nonconformist attitude.

What are Aquarius’ weaknesses?

As a fixed sign, Aquarius definitely has a stubborn streak—when this sign makes up their mind, there’s no going back! Aquarius’ hardheadedness can get them into trouble from time to time. Once Aquarius is committed to a new system or approach, it’s hard for them to look at a situation from a different perspective. This is often considered an Achilles’ heel. (In fact, in medical astrology, Aquarius governs the ankles.) Aquarian obstinacy stems from strong, righteous conviction and it’s quelled as soon as an Aquarius gets the chance to enact change. Because these water bearers are so deeply motivated by the spirit of egalitarianism, they enjoy teamwork and participating in communities of like-minded individuals.

Who should Aquarius avoid?

Aquarians need plenty of space and time on their own to reflect, form ideas, and plan their role in the revolution. Ultimately, freedom is of the utmost importance for Aquarians, who view challenges to their independence as power-hungry attempts to control them. To win an Aquarian’s trust, don’t try to reign in their quirks or keep them from flying their freak flag high—Aquarius thrives on shock value. Traditional earth signs—Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn—might find Aquarius’ unpredictable and non-traditional approach unsettling, as they prefer stability and routine. Additionally, sensitive water signs—Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces—could struggle with Aquarius’ tendency to keep emotions at arm’s length, seeking deeper emotional intimacy than Aquarius typically provides. Although Aquarius can make a relationship work with any zodiac sign, these water bearers must remember that compromise is extremely important: Not everyone is going to care about the same things, but that’s what makes the world a beautiful place!

Who’s the best match for Aquarius?

Aquarius loves the fearless autonomy of the fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius), and the intellectual connection of fellow air sign (Gemini and Libra). But, when it comes to Aquarius compatibility, there’s no sign that’s totally off-limits. Fundamentally, Aquarius is attracted to fellow revolutionaries— eople who are spirited, passionate, and dedicated to making the world a better place. No matter the zodiac sign, Aquarians are drawn to friends and lovers who aren’t afraid to break the rules… or, at the very least, don’t mind Aquarius’ steadfast commitment to the cause. Because Aquarians are always thinking big-picture, partnership isn’t just about an interpersonal dynamic—it’s actually a political statement. Duh.

The Personality of a Capricorn

The last earth sign of the zodiac, Capricorns and their unique spirits are powerful, to say the least. I’ve worked with thousands of clients over my nearly-10 year-long career as a professional astrologer, and I can confirm that there’s something that makes Capricorn extremely special. Perhaps it’s their fearless ambition? Their limitless resilience? Their ability to keep pushing forward, even in the face of challenging adversity and painful strife? Or, maybe it’s their secret wild side that’s very rarely depicted in standard personality assessments, but that rumbles within the soul of every Capricorn: Not everyone gets to see Capricorn ordering rounds of tequila, dancing on the table, and staying out until the crack of dawn—but that rebellious, untamed spirit is a Capricorn asset. I mean, how else do you expect this zodiac sign to let loose and have fun?

Indeed, inside every earnest Capricorn is a mischievous troublemaker (in tarot, Capricorn is symbolized by the “devil” card). Though this earth sign may seem a bit conservative and restrained at first, Capricorn’s closest friends and lovers know that these sea goats love to party.

Interestingly, Capricorns are said to age backwards: they become increasingly youthful, optimistic, and playful as they mature. Indeed, inside every earnest Capricorn is a mischievous troublemaker Though this earth sign may seem a bit conservative and restrained at first, Capricorn’s closest friends and lovers know that these sea goats love to party.

Capricorn is symbolized by the sea goat, a mythological creature with the body of a goat and tail of a fish. This imagery speaks to Capricorn’s bifurcated abilities: Capricorns are skilled at navigating both the material and emotional realms. They scale the steepest mountains — Capricorn rules the knees, making it easier for this sign to climb — while simultaneously building up their psychic fortitude. Capricorns are relentless: They are determined to overcome whatever stands in their way. They have big picture, long-term goals and they absolutely don’t want to be bogged-down by annoying details or superfluous information. However, because of their unwavering focus, Capricorns can sometimes be perceived as cold, unemotional, or even cutthroat — but that’s only because Capricorn has perspective. If it won’t matter in five years, Capricorn simply cannot be bothered with it today.

Of course, this speaks quite literally to Capricorn’s planetary ruler: Saturn. The ringed-gas giant in our distant solar system, Saturn is the planet associated with tasks, rules, responsibilities, and—perhaps most importantly—time. Thanks to Saturn, Capricorn is so incredibly connected to the concept of time. Sure, this may translate to Capricorns punctuality or calendar management, but—to be honest—it’s a bit more existential than that. Capricorn recognizes that life is short and, likewise, they’re always racing against the clock. There are so many things Capricorn wants to accomplish and achieve in this lifetime; slowing down is simply not an option. As a cardinal sign, Capricorn is really motivated to start new projects—this sign is constantly coming up with new ideas! Of course, solar and lunar eclipses will help propel their ideas forward, so be sure to look out for these life-altering, destiny-packed astrological events, as well. It’s time to go even deeper with your Capricorn horoscope—let’s do it.

What are Capricorns known for?

Capricorns are known to be extremely hardworking visionaries, leaders, and trailblazers. Capricorns like Dolly Parton, Michelle Obama, Katie Couric, Mary J. Blige, and John Legend are all known for their poise, sophistication, and—of course—unrivaled talents. Capricorns are dynamic individuals who express a unique balance of confidence and humility: They have a grounded, practical spirit that makes people feel comfortable in their presence. Although they’re very selective about who they let into their lives, Capricorns are incredibly gracious friends who pride themselves on honesty and loyalty. One important thing to note: Capricorns definitely don’t sugarcoat. If a Capricorn doesn’t approve of your choices or behavior, they will be sure to let you know. But the great thing about Capricorn is that they will also help you come up with solutions, action items, and practical ideas on how to improve your situation. Capricorns are doers, which means they’re all about making it happen. You know that expression, “If you want something done, give it to a busy person?” Well, that’s definitely the way Capricorn rolls. Even if Capricorn is knee-deep in deadlines and high-stakes crises, they will go out of their way to consider the needs of their closest companions.

What are Capricorn’s weaknesses?

Of course, Capricorn must remember that not everyone wants, needs, or desires the same lifestyle Capricorn lives. Although Capricorn is extremely ambitious—and their determination is undoubtedly extremely inspiring—it’s important that Capricorn doesn’t impose their standards on others. It’s no problem when Capricorn focuses on their own aspirations… but projecting their values on their closest friends and family is a totally different story. Capricorn must remember to keep their eyes on their own paper: After all, not everyone wants to climb the ladder straight to the top. Some folks just want to live a calm, relaxed, and peaceful existence—and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. What’s more, every Capricorn should definitely cultivate a gratitude practice. Because Capricorn has such lofty goals, it’s difficult for this earth sign to appreciate their current reality, believing that nothing will be good enough until they reach the mountain’s peak. But the journey is the destination and, likewise, by finding deep appreciation for their current blessings, Capricorn will be sure to feel even more fulfilled when they finally reach their desired outcome.

Who should Capricorn avoid?

Capricorns can connect with all zodiac signs—the only condition, however, is that they don’t stand in this sea goat’s way. Because Capricorn doesn’t have time for petty games, this sign values honesty and transparency. Frankly, they would prefer if someone was super blunt—yes, perhaps even kinda harsh—because they absolutely cannot stand people-pleasing and ego-stroking. Of course, not all signs vibe with Capricorn’s serious, stoic spirit: Fire signs—Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius—might find Capricorn’s stern essence a bit drab, while the air signs—Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius—can be turned off by Capricorn’s judgmental tone. Although Capricorn can make a dynamic work with any zodiac sign, these sea goats must remember that not every person appreciates “tough love.”

Who’s the best match for Capricorn?

Romantically speaking, Capricorns are seeking an anchor: These loyal lovers are busy as f*ck, so they appreciate loyalty, consistency, and steadfast commitment. Fellow earth signs—Taurus and Virgo—are attracted to Capricorns’ ambition, determination, and hardworking spirit, so Capricorn will often fortify deep connections with these like-minded zodiac signs. The water signs—Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces—are also excellent fits for Capricorn: The water signs are sensitive, compassionate, and psychologically deep, so they can actually help Capricorn connect with their intuitive qualities. Remember, Capricorn is represented by the sea goat, so this sign does, intuitively, know how to navigate more emotional terrain.

Personality Traits of a Scorpio

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21) is one of the most misunderstood signs of the zodiac. Because of its incredible passion and power, Scorpio is often mistaken for a fire sign. In fact, Scorpio is a water sign that derives its strength from the psychic, emotional realm. Like its fellow water signs, Cancer and Pisces, Scorpio is extremely clairvoyant and intuitive.

What makes this water sign unique is its distinctive venomous sting. Like their celestial animal representation, the scorpion, Scorpios lie in wait and strike when least expected. Life is a game of chess for these calculating water signs, who are constantly plotting several steps ahead in order to orchestrate an eventual checkmate. This doesn’t mean their intentions are necessarily nefarious. Scorpios simply know what they want and aren’t afraid to work hard and play the long game to get it.

They never show their cards and their enigmatic nature is what makes them so seductive and beguiling. Scorpio is the sign most closely associated with sex: The part of the body that Scorpio governs is the genital area. Sex isn’t solely about pleasure for these sensual scorpions. They also crave the physical closeness, spiritual illumination, and emotional intimacy sex can provide.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet that governs both destruction and transformation. On a good day, Scorpion energy is ambitious and enticing. On a bad day, however, the shadowy side of Scorpio is fueled by a relentless desire for control. Power-hungry Scorpios must remember that if controlled by their egos, they are at risk of poisoning themselves. This sign is at its best when that intrinsic intensity is applied to deep, soulful connections with friends and lovers. When they build trust with others, Scorpios demonstrate unparalleled empathy, depth, and commitment that brighten even the darkest parts of Scorpio’s magical psyche. Keep reading to find out more about Scorpio’s personality traits, weaknesses, and who they’re most (and least) compatible with.

What are Scorpios known for?

Scorpios are known for their intense passion, magnetic presence, and unyielding determination. Indeed, Scorpio celebrities like Katy Perry, Frank Ocean, Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Ryan Gosling, and Kendall Jenner embody the fierce and enigmatic qualities of this sign. As a water sign, Scorpios possess a deep emotional reservoir and an uncanny ability to read between the lines, making them masters of intuition and insight. This sign has a knack for creating an atmosphere charged with mystery and allure, often drawing people in with their piercing gaze and irresistible charisma. Their interests often dive into the depths of human experience, from psychology and the occult to transformative art and music. Scorpios’ creative talents and profound emotional depth allow them to express themselves in ways that captivate and intrigue. Like, here we are, almost 10-years later, still waiting for the next Frank Ocean album. Classic Scorpio.

What are Scorpios’ weaknesses?

Scorpios’ intense passion often degrades into a controlling spirit. Scorpios can become overly obsessed with power—who has it and who doesn’t—both within their individual relationships and the world at large, which can make them seem domineering and unyielding. Secretive in nature, Scorpio’s fixation on dominion can manifest as manipulative behavior, as they strive to maintain power in various aspects of their lives. When Scorpio gets jealous, it’s easy for them to strike back, using their venomous tail to attack—often misfiring and causing severe, irreparable damage. Every Scorpio must learn to explore the art of surrender, allowing themselves to trust others and let go of their need for control… at least a little bit.

Who should Scorpios avoid?

Scorpio are intense shadow dwellers who worship the dark spaces where they can tuck away their most salacious secrets. So, naturally, this mysterious sign doesn’t always mesh well with the bright and vivid fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) who love to bask in the light. The fire signs are constantly trying to get Scorpio to open up (which Scorpio hates), and often find Scorpio’s intense emotional depth and penchant for privacy more exhausting than exhilarating.

The air signs—Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius—may also pose a challenge for Scorpio. These signs thrive on social interactions and intellectual pursuits, often glossing over the type of psychological intensity that Scorpio craves. Moreover, their light-hearted approach to relationships and low tolerance for emo brooding (one of Scorpio’s favorite pastimes!) can make Scorpio feel as if they’re swimming in shallow waters—quite frustrating for a sign that prefers to dive deep.

Which signs are Scorpios’ best matches?

Scorpios flourish in relationships where emotional exploration is not only encouraged but also cherished. The best match for Scorpios are those who seek similar levels of powerful intensity and soul-deep loyalty. Fellow water signs—Cancer and Pisces—resonate well with Scorpio, as they relate to their complex emotional landscapes. These partnerships tend to be deeply transformative, characterized by mutual understanding and emotional depth that few other signs can offer. When Scorpio gets together with other water signs, they can communicate practically telepathically. The earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn) are also great options for Scorpio. Their practical and reliable natures provide the security and steadfastness that Scorpio admires and finds comforting in a partner, and they can bring a stabilizing presence to the often strange, murky waters of a Scorpio’s inner-landscape.
