Modern science recognizes that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected in a way that affects every aspect of human life. 

There are complex biological and psychological systems that govern the human body. The brain, as the control center of the body, orchestrates the thousands of systems that work in harmony.  Also, it regulates the human body like the intricate wondrous machine that it is.  When mental health is impaired, this delicate balance can be disrupted, leading to physical consequences. Similarly, physical health issues can cause poor mental health.
