Trials and tribulations, fleeting victories and sudden disappointment. Writers, poets, songwriters and musicians all share the same familiar road. Many give up thinking it shouldn’t be so hard. Many persevere knowing that road to success has many twists and turns and is not a straight line.
I mention a musicians road because I heard a song by a popular outlaw country singer Waylon Jennings, who asked in song, “Are you sure ole Hank (Williams) done it this way” meaning did his hero have to put up with the same old hardships before making it big ?
