It’s autumn, can the first frost be far ahead ? When it comes, it will destroy any tender annual and persuade perennial flowers to freeze and die. The plant will take shelter in the ground and hopefully weather the winter to rise up again in spring. Until then, there will be snow and cold and freezing and thawing, just another winter in Chicago.
So, I wanted to share with you some highlights of this years flowering plants.
- Hummingbird Mint
- Cleome with remnants of Cardinal Flower
- White Turtle’s Head
- Wisteria bushes in bloom
