I have had surgeries before, those that required anesthesia and a short recovery period, but Monday’s surgery is much different because a hospital stay of about 4 days is required. Also, my recovery period will be longer and probably more painful than the others. It’s back surgery in the spinal area. It’s like a having a pinched nerve in the spinal column that needs to be decompressed. What does this mean ? It means intensive care for 2 days, followed by hospital stay for at least 2 more days. I have the utmost confidence in the surgeon and hospital that the procedure will go as planned.
So here’s the thing. I will be incommunicado for my stay in the hospital. No iphone, ipad, tablet, nothing to connect with you, read your posts, comment, post my own articles, etc. A nightmare to say the least. But, hoping WordPress will cooperate, I will post some things that will appear daily, conversation starters that will prompt for some serious thinking, and something about remembering the 9/11 terrorist attack on America.
If all goes well, I’ll return on the weekend to catch up on what I’ve missed. So, have a wonderful week . And keep writing !
